EX-VOTO

 

 

In the Ex-Voto series, I stage the intimate, the wounds, the part of each of us to bury, to hide, to seal.

 

I am no longer in the instinctive and trance-like work of the Women in Black, but I search, collect, find, accumulate, assemble objects from different universes.

 

Each object takes part in the story that unfolds inside the globes. They are in plain sight, but also enclosed, "protected" by glass, by a screen.

 

Inside, people whisper, shout and pray. They talk about love, waiting, hope, struggles, power, healing, like the healing dolls.

Wishes are made, offerings are made.
